DOUBLE CLOTH
This project took place during Polly's second year of university. Specialising in weave, Polly really wanted to push herself with the project and explore a wide vivid ranged colour palette with varied designs/patterning. Double cloth allows you to really get the most of your colourways, it consists of two separate warps and wefts, meaning the front and back of your cloth will be opposites.
JACUARD
This project took place during Polly's second year at university, during the third term. Polly's inspiration for this project came from that of her abstract florals and collage drawings/paintings. Here the samples produced on the Jacquard TC2 machine, focus purely on close up colour, expressive mark making and texture. They are an exaggerated abstract version to that of her drawings.
